The most recent look I am proud of doing is this color correction on Morgan. She had received a color that wasn't at all what she had asked for. Morgan likes a cool-toned, lived-in balayage that doesn't require a lot of maintenance. She also likes a color that allows her to go 12+ weeks in between services. When Morgan first came in, it had only been 4 weeks since her last color and she felt like she already needed a retouch. Her natural color is a medium brown and it had been highlighted to an all-over brassy blonde. After a consultation, I decided that a color melt would be best to get her back to where she wanted to be. First, I applied a cool brown to her roots and melted it into a medium blonde. I didn’t need to apply any color to the ends, as they were already the tone that we were looking for. The end result was perfect! I always feel with color corrections there is a certain amount of stress because I set my own expectations for the outcome very high. It's a great feeling when you both walk away happy.
